Michelle Stevenson
I have been working in the healthcare field for over 25 years. I started my career in long term care as a social worker in the San Francisco area. My experience includes hospital trauma center, community case management, hospice, long term acute care hospital, skilled nursing facility, behavioral facilities and assisted living. I love that I can continue to work closely with our families and residents in my current role as Executive Director at The Gardens of Sun City. Our community is an extension of our family and we strive to make a difference every day.

I’ve served in the Healthcare field for twenty years and have enjoyed providing patient care. Within the last five years my focus became more in Financial Business Administration by providing oversight on financials. Serving as a Business Office Manager I’m able to serve the community and their family members by providing my support. I love The Gardens of Sun City because of the amazing residents we have, the supportive families and our amazing team that truly takes pride in providing excellent quality care to all of our Residents.

I been working at The Gardens of Sun City for 20 years. I started my career as a Caregiver and Medtech on our Memory Care unit. I loved working with our memory care residents. After 8 years on our Memory Care unit, I moved to activities as an Activity Assistant and then Activity Director. I love working with our residents and making their retirement more enjoyable.
Environmental Services Director

After nearly 20 years as an automotive technician, I decided to make a career change. I fell into Facility Management for a psychiatric and substance abuse hospital, as a general mechanic, in Massachusetts and fell in love! After 4 years in a hospital setting, my family and I made the decision to pack our things and move to Arizona. Since 2022, I have been working at the Gardens of Sun City as the Environmental Services Director. I am fortunate enough to combine my love of working with my hands while also being able to direct overall building repairs. What I love most about my position is being able to interact with each resident on a daily basis. Knowing I have a direct impact on their life, while maintaining the building brings me a great sense of purpose.
Resident Care Director

I have been a nurse for many years working in many different roles. Last year I happily returned to The Gardens of Sun City as the Resident Care Director. It has been a pleasure and honor to be able to care for others and be a part of their lives. The residents and staff here at The Gardens will always have a special place in my heart.

After working in corporate restaurants for 30 years, I moved to the hotel/bar side of the hospitality industry for some time before opening my own catering business. I’ve had the pleasure of serving seniors for 5 years now. The most rewarding part of senior living is being able to create food that brings back memories for them and seeing their smiles after providing them with a meal they enjoyed. Being able to discuss how they used to prepare meals or specific items truly inspires me to continue to strive to give them the very best on a daily basis. Working at The Gardens of Sun City has been an amazing experience. The staff and management team here truly care about others and it gives The Gardens a warm and homelike feeling for our residents.

I started my career working in the hospitality industry. I then had the pleasure of caring for my father, who was a Vietnam veteran. He is the reason I jumped into the senior living industry. I started 10 years ago as a Sales Manager for a senior living in Prescott, AZ. From there I decided that I wanted to expand my knowledge in working with seniors, and became a Marketing Director for a hospice organization in Maricopa County. I started working as the CRD at The Gardens of Sun City in late 2021. I love everything about this community; my coworkers, residents, and families. I have learned that this isn’t a job, it’s my calling. Everyday my cup is filled with love and respect for everyone that comes through our doors. I am so very thankful that I was given the opportunity to work at The Gardens and every day I am blessed to be around such amazing people.
